Privacy Policy

The DaysHere app is built so there is nothing to collect. Your travel history is stored on your device and never sent anywhere. This website is a separate thing, and the last sections explain what it measures.

What the app collects

Nothing. The DaysHere app has no account system, no server and no analytics. We do not collect, receive or store any personal information about you through it.

What stays on your device

Everything you enter in the app is written to local storage on your device and stays there:

  • The countries you track and the stay rule you chose for each
  • Your entry and exit dates, and any stay that is still open
  • Your passport nationality and notification preferences

This data is removed when you delete the app. Because it never leaves your device, we cannot read it, restore it or transfer it to a new phone for you.

Location

If you grant location access, DaysHere uses your coordinates on the device to work out which country you are in, so it can offer to update your current stay. The coordinates are used in the moment and are never stored, logged or transmitted. DaysHere is fully usable if you decline the permission, and you can revoke it at any time in the iOS Settings app.

Notifications

Reminders are local notifications scheduled by the app from the dates you entered. They are produced entirely on your device; no push server is involved and no notification content is sent over the network.

Third parties

The app contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs and no third-party trackers. It does not share data with anyone, because it holds no data outside your device.

This website

This site, meaning the pages you are reading now and not the app, uses Google Analytics to count visits, so we can tell whether anyone is finding DaysHere. It records which pages were opened, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and which browser and device type were used. It sets cookies in your browser to recognise a repeat visit.

We only ever look at this in aggregate, and none of it is or can be linked to anything you enter in the app. The app and this website share no data at all. If you would rather not be counted, most browsers can block it, and Google publishes a "Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on" that turns it off everywhere.

Children

DaysHere is not directed at children under 13 and, since it collects no information at all, it collects none from them either.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever starts handling data differently, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top will change.
